Do you accept insurance?

At this time, Capacity Speech Therapy is an out-of-network provider, which means that we do not bill insurance companies for our services. It also means that we can be flexible and creative with our sessions to optimize time with children and families by reducing qualification and paperwork requirements.

Capacity Speech Therapy accepts payment at the time of service using cash, checks, and credit cards (including HSA/FSA) through the Ivy Pay app.

While we do not accept insurance at this time, upon request, we are able to provide you with a Superbill for applicable speech services. This is a form that you can submit to your insurance company to attempt to get reimbursement for our services through your out-of-network benefits.

What can I expect from the speech therapy sessions?

Each session is individualized to meet your child's and family's needs. We will not come with a special bag full of toys and therapy materials, rather, we use the spaces and materials within your natural environment, following early intervention evidenced-based practices.  Parents, caregivers, and siblings are all welcome to join the visits! Methods used include coaching, demonstration and training within naturally occurring routines. You are your child's best teacher, so we focus on building your CAPACITY to teach communication and social-emotional skills.

What are your fees?

Fees are individualized and are based on your child's and family's needs. You will be provided with a Good Faith Estimate before receiving services. Fees are collected at the time of service and not billed at a later date. Please contact us for more information.

My child didn't qualify for school-based services, will he be eligible through Capacity Speech Therapy?

We aren't bound to strict eligibility requirements that schools are required to follow. We can discuss your child's needs and determine if Capacity Speech Therapy is the right fit for your family. If it is not, we will gladly provide you with resources or referrals to other community-based practices.

What ages do you serve?

Our passion is working with the littlest learners (birth through age five) who can benefit from family-centered support within natural environments. However, with our vast experience, we also love serving older children specifically those with speech needs related to AAC and articulation. Consultation, advocacy, and screen time wellness support are provided to any families who need it, regardless of age.

Do you offer group classes for parents?

Yes! Our services are customized to fit your needs. Gather a few interested friends or neighbors and we can meet and discuss a topic of your choice from the comfort of your living room. See our services pages for more information.
